Just a few helpful details

Taking the First Step

The estimated cost of Adoption from the Congo is between $30,000-$39,000. This includes home study, passports, training,US fees, Africa fees, and travel.

Yes, its a crazy amount of money.

No, we do not make that kind of money.

No, we do not think that is a good enough reason not to adopt.

Yes, we do believe the Lord will provide this for us.

We definitely don't expect all of this to be donated as we will do some fundraisers, yard sales, and pitch every penny we have to go towards bringing our son home.

Phase 1: For our first phase we plan to save/raise the cost of our first big expense in our process. Which is the home study fee ($1700.00-$2,000.00) and our first payment to our agency to begin our process. ($4,300.00)  There are grants and tax credits that we will be able to use and apply for. There are also low interest loans that we can use if that is needed.

Ways you can join us

It is our desire to keep you posted on all the details of our process. So you can celebrate with us and join in our excitement. We are beyond thankful for our friends and family that have already supported us through your prayers, words of encouragement, and giving. So here are a few ways that you can continue to join with our family through our journey.

Pray: We covet your prayers. We have been praying for this child that we do not know for some time now. Only our Lord knows every detail of this process. We ask for your prayers for patience, as for only He knows the perfect will and timing of bringing our son home.

Follow: Stay updated with our process on this blog, call us, email us, or facebook us. (timbeth0608@yahoo.com)

Give: If you feel led and would like to donate, even $10 towards our fundraising goal. Each dollar is a blessing and will bring us one step closer to bring our son home.

Share: Feel free to share this blog with your friends and family.

We already feel so blessed by the kind words of encouragement and we feel your prayers as we have already been blessed by many of you. I hope to keep this updated as much as I can between school work, house work, and taking care of our kiddos.

Thank you again your support!!

WE ARE EXPECTING FROM.....

Tim and I have been praying for several months for the Lord's direction on where we would be adopting from. For awhile we have felt that there was only one place that we were being led too. In doing research of this country and talking with agencies and other families it seemed this was going to be a hard process to adopt from this country. As we looked at all the countries and researched them and agencies, doors kept opening as others closed.  But as time went on and lots of prayer we both seemed to feel that this is the place the Lord wants us to adopt from. There are lots of details that have to be worked out for this country, we have all the faith in the Lord that he will provide and meet our needs. So we feel with much confidence and peace to officially move forward in pursing an international adoption of a BOY from the:

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in Africa.

Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you, not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

We trust that He is leading us and are thankful we don't have to just pick the details on our own. He knows the little boys face that will join our family, when he will, and how he will. All of the details are planned out we just to watch it all unfold.

Children of Congo Video

This video has a few heart wrenching images of children. I just want to warn you before viewing. This was one of the first videos we watched that touched our hearts.

Prayer and Fundraiser Jars

Happy New Year to you and your family! We spent our night bringing in 2014 with some of our friends. We had a great night of laughing, eating, tears, and praying. Praying for weddings, new jobs, recover, lost family members, and adoption.

As I have said we are in the beginning stages of this process. Tim and I are praying about where the Lord wants us to adopt from. Whether its International or Domestic adoption and then if International what area of the World to adopt from. We are praying about that and then as we know where we will adopt from then be in contact with the agency we have chosen

As we are hoping that will happen soon we would like to offer a way for you to support and pray for our adoption. Some friends and I are working on a fundraiser and prayer jars. I would like to offer these to you as a way to save your change to go towards our adoption. Also we hope that each time you look at the jar or add change to it, that you would also pray for our family and for the child that the Lord has planned for us to bring into our family. Also for other families who are in their adoption process and for children that will be coming into their family as well. As soon as your jar is full just give it back to us and it will go into our adoption account that we have set up. If you would like a jar to put in your home or work please contact Tim or myself. As soon as I have some jars finished I will post pictures. Thank you for your support, prayers, and encouraging words that we have gotten since we have announced our discussion.

We Said YES!!

We are happy to announce that the Lord has led us to adoption. For some time I have known in my heart that I wanted to adopt. I was just waiting for the Lord to work in Tim's heart as he did in mine. I have watched friends start their adoption process, waiting to be matched with their child, and even got to see two sweet boys come home this past summer.  We are in the very early stage of our process which is just figuring out where to adopt from, what agency to use, how are we going to pay for this, and whether our new child will be a boy or girl. We wanted to share our news with our family and friends because we will need all the prayers, encouragement, and support during this process. Tim and I are excited, scared, happy, and just plain overwhelmed that the Lord would choose us to raise another child. But we have all our trust in the Lord. We know he has a plan for our family and he has already chosen the boy or girl for us. He knows where we will adopt from and how we will pay for it. That right there is the best feeling, and all that we need to do is have trust in him.
